Pattern of IBPS Clerk Examination


IBPS conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) for Clerk as an Online exam in two stages:


1. Stage I: IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam (Computer Based, Objective Multiple Choice Type)
2. Stage II: IBPS Clerk Mains Exam (Computer Based, Objective Multiple Choice Type)

IBPS clerk is negative marking in online exam. With this pattern, you can skip a question or choose to answer it later. It is based entirely on the English language, numerical ability and reasoning ability. The candidate has to manage the time well and concentrate on all the sections as there is sectional cut off in this round.

IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam Cut-off based on 2016-17 exam: 58 to 73

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for online Main examination.
