Introduction

Hello everyone,

My name is Pradeep Katteppanavar, and I am from KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi. I am happy to share that I finally got placed in Accenture. I decided to write this post to share my complete preparation journey and interview experience. If this post helps you in any way, your support really means a lot.

My Struggle & Journey

I struggled a lot during my on-campus placement journey. I faced multiple rejections, including:

• TCS – Final Round
• Brillio – Technical Round
• Peol – Final Round
• Many other companies

One moment changed my mindset completely. When I went to my native in November, my father told me:

"This time, come back home only with an offer letter."

Those words touched my heart deeply. I took it very seriously.

The 210 days after graduation were the most difficult days of my life. Sleepless nights, continuous rejections, long travel from Whitefield to Rajajinagar (5 hours daily) just to attend classes and save my parents’ money — everything was painful. Yet, I always believed in myself.

I come from a family where I never understood the meaning of struggle during my college days. Bangalore taught me the real meaning of life and responsibility.

My message to you: Never lose hope. Something big is waiting for you.

How AMCAT Changed My Life

I always believed that AMCAT and eLitmus could help me reach my dream company — Accenture. I appeared for the paid AMCAT exam in May 2015. By December 2015, I started receiving multiple job alerts.

One fine day, I got a mail saying:

"Your profile matches Accenture drive scheduled on 9th Jan 2016."

I was extremely excited because Accenture was my dream company.

I immediately started preparing:

• Basic programming
• Core Java
• Data Structures
• Aptitude practice

I focused on learning how to present myself confidently in interviews instead of being depressed about my past failures.

I am truly thankful to my friends Prashant and Veeru Anna for guiding me at the right time. I also thank my close friends Rasika, Neha, and Pratiksha for supporting me emotionally.

Interview Day – 9th January 2016

I woke up at 5 AM, full of excitement. I barely slept the previous night. I got ready, prayed to God and my parents with one promise in my heart:

"This time, I will return home only with an Accenture offer letter."

I reached the interview location on time. After hall ticket verification, we were asked to fill a long form with our complete education details. We were given token numbers for the interview.

There were around 15 interview panels, each consisting of one technical interviewer and one HR. Every batch had 5 candidates. My token number was announced. My heartbeat went up.

As soon as I entered the room, I greeted them with a confident smile. The first round was a Group Discussion.

Topic: Remedies to improve the education system in India.

I waited, noted down points, and spoke last. I focused not only on problems but also on solutions. This impressed the panel.

After that, the HR started checking resumes and asking technical questions based on projects. Since both my projects were live and used by my college, I explained them clearly with confidence.

Then came HR questions such as:

• Why Accenture?
• How long will you stay with Accenture?
• What do you know about Accenture?
• What is Accenture’s employee strength?

The interview ended on a positive note.

Final Result – The Happiest Day

On 19th January 2016, I received this mail:

"Congratulations! You have been selected at Accenture."

I immediately called my parents. My father said, "You kept your promise." My eyes were filled with tears of joy.

Final Words

• Be confident and pray to God.
• Identify your hidden strengths.
• Surround yourself with good friends.
• Convert failures into challenges.
• Never give up until you reach your goal.
