Artificial Language questions become easier when you treat them as a decoding exercise rather than a vocabulary test. The artificial words have no familiar meaning initially, so the solution must be derived from the translations given in the question.

The following techniques will help you quickly identify the meaning of individual components, verify their position, eliminate incorrect options, and construct the required translation.


1. Read All Given Translations First

Do not try to decode the artificial language after reading only one example. Read all the given translations first and look for relationships between them.

Technique: Treat the complete set of translations as one logical system.

The strongest clues usually appear when two or more examples are compared.


2. Identify Common English Words

Look for English words that occur in more than one translated phrase. A repeated English word is often represented by a repeated component in the artificial language.

After finding a common component, focus on what changes between the examples. The changing English word should correspond to the changing artificial-language component.

6. Build a Component Dictionary
