On-Campus Placement

Placement Paper Details

Hi, my name is Priya Sharma.
Our Deloitte on-campus placement drive was conducted at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai in February 2025.

I'm excited to share that I received the offer letter, and I'm posting my detailed experience to help freshers preparing for Deloitte placements in the current recruitment season.

The complete selection process consisted of three rounds: Online Assessment, Technical Interview, and HR Interview. The online assessment had 95 questions to be solved in 95 minutes.

Test Pattern (Updated 2025):

  • Aptitude & Logical Reasoning – 40 Questions (35 Minutes)
  • Technical MCQs – 35 Questions (35 Minutes)
  • English & Behavioral Assessment – 20 Questions (25 Minutes)

The test had no negative marking and sectional time limits were strictly enforced. The difficulty level was moderate to challenging, with emphasis on time management.

My Preparation Strategy:

I started preparing three months in advance. For aptitude, I practiced regularly from LearnFrenzy, GeeksforGeeks, and took daily mock tests on PrepInsta and AmbitionBox.

For technical preparation, I focused on:

  • Core Java (Collections, OOPs, Exception Handling)
  • SQL Queries and DBMS Concepts
  • Data Structures & Algorithms (Basics)
  • Operating Systems (Process Management, Memory Management)
  • Computer Networks (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS)

Around 850 students appeared for the online test from our campus. Approximately 180 students were shortlisted for interviews. After rigorous technical and HR rounds, 65 students received final offers. The entire process was professional and well-organized, reflecting Deloitte's global standards.
